It might be time to get out of the water...

Hi Surfers! Wherever you are in the world, I hope your weather is fine and perfect for a good (life) surfing session :-)

Have you seen the picture above? Wonderful isn't it?

I don't know about you, but I am one of those weirdos who love thunderstorms and lightning strokes. I love to see those big lines across the sky and listen to the powerful sound of the thunder. For some reason it makes me feel safe. And I also love the sound of the rain. I find it peaceful. Probably because it partly hides the noise of the streets...

But even though I absolutely love thunderstorms, I would never stay in the ocean when a storm is raging on. Why? Because it's dangerous, because it could kill me in a second.

Can you see where I'm getting at?

Life is full of stormy moments, but for some weird reasons, instead of running away and trying to find a safe place as fast as possible, we often stay exactly where we are, changing absolutely nothing, waiting for the storm to pass... which can possibly happen, that's true, at least when it comes to surfing.

Storms in life are the clear signs of a need to change.

The need to get out of the water and find a safe place.

Especially when they keep repeating.

I know more than anybody else how hard it is to change, leave a life that we are used to live, people that we love, friends, do things differently, learn new skills, start again from zero...

It can take years.

Yet, it is so necessary.

If you are currently in the middle of a storm, I'm sending you all my courage and strength, wishing you the best as you paddle out of those big waves. Hang on to your dreams, to what makes you happy, hang on to your true self. You can do it!

And if you haven't reached that stormy point yet, chances are life already sent you signs to show you that you needed a change (if you need one, of course).

Did you try to understand those signs?

Did you change your life to turn it into something that looks more like you?

What makes other people happy might not be what makes you smile every day.

Take your time and find the person that you are when nobody's watching. When you are not doing things to please others, when you are, again, the simplest version of yourself.

Your personal answers are here.

Inside of you.

And these answers are the ones you need to paddle out of the storm.

You don't have to trap yourself into a life that you don't want to live.

Even if your cage is made of gold.

A golden cage is still a cage.

And if today you feel guilty or sad about wanting a change, just remember that we ALL need a change at different times in life. This is just a normal part of our evolution as human beings.

Also, keep in mind that the more you wait, the harder it gets.

By making yourself happy today, you will make people around you happy too.

So do the things you love, meet people who make you smile, be silly, be crazy, be the wise and the wild, the beauty and the beast... be whatever you want to be.

Just be yourself.

Everything that you are deep inside your heart and soul.

This is how you will find a way to escape the storm.

As always, I wish you the most beautiful life ever.

Keep surfing your waves and just remember that life doesn't have to be painful.

Talk soon!
