Find the Right Spot

Not just a beautiful one

One thing life has taught me the hard way is that a beautiful place is nothing more than just that — a beautiful place — if you can’t share it with people who make you feel good.

Hi surfers, I hope you are doing great today :-)

Let’s talk about one of the biggest lessons life has taught me .

When you go surfing, finding a beautiful beach is not enough.

Some waves are dangerous, some places are full of sharks, some have no waves at all...

You know what I mean, right?

Life works the same way.

Finding a beautiful place is not enough, having a beautiful house is not enough.

Happiness is all about... finding the right people!

Now, don’t get me wrong — I’m not saying beautiful places aren’t great, but that’s not what you need first.

If you need a change, or if you are struggling right now (which probably means you need a change), you need to find people who make life feel easy. The kind of people you can just sit next to and be yourself 300%.

The serious you, the silly you, the funny you, the sad you, everything.

We are human beings, social animals, made to connect with each other, to feel each other, to understand each other.

But we are all different, which means that some people are a good fit for us and some just aren’t . And we sometimes waste a lot of time trying to fix things with the wrong people.

Now I’m not saying some people are right and others are wrong. I’m saying some people are right for us, and some just aren’t. This is a very important notion to understand.

So what's the link between finding a spot, a place and those people I am talking about?

A beautiful home or town will still feel empty if you can’t share it with the right people.

Let me tell you a little bit of my story:

I used to live by the ocean (the picture above shows a place where I used to live), the landscapes were beautiful. The sunsets were the most beautiful ones I've ever seen, the blue of the ocean was magnificent, and the mountains in the background were stunning.

From an artistic point of view, that place was pure perfection — beautiful in every possible way.

But from an emotional point of view, it was empty.

Of course I met lots of kind and cool people there, but not the ones I needed to be myself, to be happy.

And I had a whole life to rebuild.

One day, life made a choice for me, and I found myself forced to leave this beautiful place to go back to my hometown, the place where I was born, very far from the ocean and the beautiful sunsets, but close to my family.

Life was still really hard for me, but I had their love and support and didn't feel alone anymore.

And then I started meeting people here. True, genuine, honest people. Friends, business relationships... little by little, this place I didn't want to go back to in the first place became my home again. Little by little, I started growing up, rebuilding my life and my little business.

That wasn’t easy, not at all. But I didn’t feel alone anymore — and that feeling was priceless. It was the little spark I needed.

I really wanted to run away, but they gave me the best reason to stay: LOVE.

If you feel stuck in your life and feel like it is not made for you anymore,
these words are for you.

First you have to admit that you need a change, that you are struggling.

And then, accept that you’ll have to lose things and people. Beautiful things and beautiful people.

Starting again from zero comes with a cost. But it also comes with something priceless: happiness.

Learn to lose if you want to win.

Some people make your life easy. Who are they?

If you haven't found them yet, then start by getting some distance between you and the people who don't enable you to be 100% you.

Lose first, what you will win is worth it.

And don't rush things.
Don't be afraid of loneliness. That fear will lead you to make bad decisions.

Breathe, take your time and remember that attraction works in two ways.

The people you need also need you.

The ones you need are looking for you too.

You will naturally feel connected, understood, loved.

Life with them will feel easy.

You won't have to fight anymore once you find them.

I wish you the best, because the best is yet to come.

With love, always ❤️

Thank you from the bottom of my heart
