How I fell in love with art...

A happy accident

Falling in love is an art, right? And I fell in love with art the way people should fall in love with each other.

Accidentally.

Unexpectedly.

Passionately.

Let's go back in time just a little bit.

As far as I remember, I never was the girl who spent her time drawing. Actually, I didn't draw or paint at all. Never ever. Music and dancing were my very first loves when it comes to art.

Pretty sure if I were able to meet the 10, 20 or even 30-year old me and tell her I spend my time drawing and painting stuff, she would laugh at me and not believe me.

But you know, life is what it is.

You think something (someone) is not made for you? Boom!!! Life proves you wrong.

That's what happened to me.

Back in 2019, I was given a chance to shape my very own surfboard. That was one of the best experiences in my life ever. I absolutely loved playing with the tools, working patiently to shape my board, watching it slowly come to life in my own hands.

I went back home, let it dry for a month and then one day... I almost heard it saying "customize me, tell a story, give me an identity. Your identity."

So I bought paint and started creating a story on it.

And this is how it all started.

I don't paint or draw to be exhibited in museums, galleries or whatever.

I paint or draw to tell stories.

I paint for people.

I use bright colours and words to create light and positivity.

I started with my own surfboard, and never stopped drawing and painting from that day.

And trust me I had a lot of reasons to give up.

My life became a real storm, I lost a lot of things, of people... but I never stopped.

Because it makes me feel good.

Because it makes me feel safe.

Because when I create I feel myself.

I know that my art can look childish sometimes, but I guess that's what happens when you create from a heart-centered place, and it really looks like me, so that's enough for me to feel proud about it.

Why am I telling you this today?

Because you might be thinking things like:

"Oh I can't draw"

"I am unable to paint"

"I never ever drew something in my whole life"

"I suck at drawing"

And so many other things like that.

Well if that's the case, please, TRY.

Don't try for money, don't try for fame.

Try it for YOURSELF.

What art will bring into your life is priceless.

Serenity, calm, inner peace, pride...

ART is everywhere.

In words, in colours, in shapes, in music...

So even if you don't want to draw or paint, maybe writing can be the form of art you need. Maybe dancing?

As long as you do it for yourself, it will help you.

You don't have to share it with the world.

All you have to do is create something and enjoy the process, not just the result.

So please play your favourite playlist and start creating something.

It can change your life forever.

It changed mine.

And if you need help in your creative journey, I will always be happy to help you.

I am passionate about creation and people.

I love to help caterpillars turn into butterflies.

I wrote these words for you.

Yes. YOU.

Don't spend to much time hesitating. Start now.

With love, always
