Good morning, day or night :)
Today, I want to start something a little different here on my blog. Use words differently.
When I started writing the Words Of Love section, I told myself I would not make any decision until I posted 10 articles, poems. And, to be honest, by "making a decision", I was clearly thinking about erasing everything and starting something new and different. I love new beginnings and starting again from zero is something I already did multiple times in the past.
But sometimes you don't need a whole new story... you just need a new chapter.
If your past doesn't look like you anymore, then erase it and start again.
And if you are still the same but need a change, just start something new without saying goodbye to the old you.
That's why today, I'm "launching" a brand new section called The Life Surfer which is all about... life, using my experiences as a coach, a friend, a mother, an artist, a person and a very basic surfer to talk about life and maybe help you surf the waves of life more easily.
When I used to live by the ocean, life was all about surfing. Fashion, lifestyles, haircuts, food and even quotes and slogans.
And there is one that I never forgot and that is, to me, a great way to embrace life:
YOU CAN'T STOP THE WAVES, BUT YOU CAN LEARN TO SURF
It is so true when you are in the ocean, but it's even more true when you think about life.
In the ocean, I am a very basic surfer, not a good one, not the girl you would look at thinking "wow she's killing it". Nope. I would probably be the one you make fun of.
Goofy in every possible way. In life and on my board.
But that's ok. I'm really ok with not being good at surfing.
I really do enjoy it though. So that's enough for me to keep surfing... my goofy way.
In life, I'm exactly the same.
And because life keeps throwing waves at me and I keep jumping back on my board no matter what, I grow up. Stronger.
And that's what this new blog is all about.
Surfing the waves of life together.
And because we are all different, live in different places with different people, we will probably surf differently. Our ways.
But we can still help each other grow and face the waves together, don't you think. We don't have to all be professional surfers to have fun together, right?
Welcome to the big ocean of life.
